One of our most requested dishes; provided to Amy by her parents early and often, it's a staple of the Starnes household. This 50 year old recipe found its way into the family through Amy's grandmother. It was written on a notecard titled, “From the desk of Kay”, back when recipe cards and swap meets were the only information super highways. Three generations of continuosly requested seconds and thirds... and still going. Generous chunks of rotisserie chicken, angel hair pasta, onions, bell peppers and parsley in a creamy white sauce topped with cheddar cheese — comfort food at its finest.
Amy's Chicken Tetrazini
A hearty version of Bryan's childhood favorite Mexican spaghetti. Sizzled down onion, garlic, and tomato sauce layered with toasted vermicelli noodles, beef stew meat, and hominy. Seasoned with cumin, cilantro, and a traditional family spice blend then simmered in a rich tomato sauce.
Bryan's Fideo Stew
This lasagna came to life on a family beach trip and was designated by Amy’s sister Robin as a must have! Layered with a multi cheese blend of mozzarella, ricotta, and parmesan accompanied by sweet and spicy Italian sausage and ground beef baked to bubbly goodness in a homemade tomato sauce.
Three Meat Lasagna
Father’s know best, especially when it comes to slow cooking a brisket. Our brisket is pull apart tender — seasoned with an array of savory spices then slow cooked to juicy perfection. (Thank you Dad!)
Slow Cooked Brisket
As a child, Amy’s grandfather loved to pull sausage straight off the grill still smoking, wrap it in some bread, and put it on your plate. Simple — and the greatest sausage sandwich ever! Embren's Catering serves your choice of spicy jalapeno or pecan smoked sausage.
As Bryan and Amy’s families are a blend of Texas traditions, so is this take on succulent sour cream enchiladas. We’ve layered shredded chicken, corn tortillas, and a rich sour cream sauce. It's spiced with our own blend of Mexican flavors then topped with Monterrey jack cheese and cilantro.
